Between the weather that winter brings & the kid’s winter sports 🏀🏒 lately hiking hasn’t been quite what we’re used to.
Sometimes a win is just getting out in the backyard for a bit, but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I’m struggling to be “okay” with the ebb and flow of our life right now.
As a family, those times outdoors together are a precious connection point, a moment to re-ground, renew, and relax. I know before long we’ll be back on the trail together, but man, is it hard not to beat yourself up about it sometimes. Anybody else feeling that mid-winter slump?

⚠️ Please be safe and do not attempt to throw ⚠️ Please be safe and do not attempt to throw hot water into the wind if it’s blowing at you. Use caution & help your children to prevent potential burns ⚠️
Hot water thrown into freezing air 🌬 quickly condensing due to the cold 🥶
Have you ever done this? You can also try it with room temperature water, the cloud of water vapor just won’t be as big.
